Sam Beam aka Iron and Wine drops by to say hello on his extensive European tour in support of new album Kiss Each Other Clean. Having left Sub-Pop Records and this being his first release for Warner Brothers I suppose he can pick and choose where he plays now and there won’t be anybody around here complaining about this particular sonic treat at Berghain.
That’s not to say it’s outlandishly priced, in fact I’d say it’s modestly priced considering the amount of gushing praise this man’s back catologue has received. Not a year goes by without an Iron and Wine record in some shape or form drawing the kind of praise that Bob Dylan used to garner back in the days of yore. At this stage he’s beaten simply getting thrown in with your average nu-folk whiners and established himself as one of the most respected guitarist/songwriters of the past few years. And he’s only four albums into his career which means we can all grow old together.
Anyway, good luck finding a ticket. Sold out already apparently.
